10-week master roadmap

Target ≈ 35–40 focused hours/week; topic hours below are the anchor, not a rigid daily timetable.
How to use the week: Learn the concept → solve that topic's PYQs immediately → mark PYQ complete → reattempt wrong PYQs after 48–72 hours → revise again in Week 9–10. Do not postpone PYQs until the entire subject is over.

Exact SSC JE 2026 Civil & Structural checklist

Every syllabus unit has Learn / PYQ-1 / PYQ-2 / Revision checkpoints.
Priority rule: P1 subjects are placed first because they historically generate the strongest repeat/conceptual return. Priority is a preparation ranking, not an SSC-issued weightage. The full official topic order is preserved in each module's “Official head”.

Paper-I: Reasoning + General Awareness

These sections are qualifying Paper-I components; keep them efficient while technical remains the main rank engine.

Mocks, revision & error-log system

Paper-I: 200 Q / 200 marks / 2 h. Paper-II: 100 Q / 300 marks / 2 h.

Best-possible scoring strategy

1. Read the paper pattern correctly

For 2026, Paper-I has 50 Reasoning + 50 GA + 100 Engineering = 200 marks in 2 hours; Paper-II has 100 Engineering questions = 300 marks in 2 hours. Paper-I is qualifying and Paper-II determines final merit according to the 2026 notice summary.

Implication: clear Paper-I comfortably, but do not sacrifice technical depth because Paper-II is where the rank is made.

2. PYQ-first learning loop

Step A: Learn only the concept needed for the topic. Step B: solve PYQs immediately. Step C: tag wrong questions. Step D: reattempt after 48–72h. Step E: revisit before every full mock. A topic is not “done” until you can solve its PYQs without seeing the solution.

3. Priority ladder

P1Highest-return technical units: Structures, SOM, RCC, Steel, Survey, Soil, Water/Wastewater, Transportation, Mechanics, Construction Materials.
P2Finish strongly after P1: Estimation, Hydraulics, Hydrology, Irrigation, Traffic, Air/MSW.
P3Only use after P1/P2 are secure. (Tracker contains P3-ready structure even though all official 2026 Civil heads are covered.)
Accuracy rule for Paper-II: each wrong answer costs 1 mark while a correct answer gives 3 marks. Do not convert weak elimination into blind guessing. Build a high-confidence attempt strategy through mocks.

4. Revision architecture

RevisionWhenWhat to do
R1Same dayFormula/concept sheet + topic PYQs.
R248–72 hoursOnly wrong/guessed PYQs + 5–10 fresh mixed questions.
R37–10 daysClosed-book recall + short notes + timed mini-test.
R4Weeks 9–10Mixed PYQs, formula/fact sheets, error log.

5. Daily operating rule

Use the module hours as the real workload. Within those hours, keep the sequence concept → solved examples → PYQs → error review. Non-technical study should remain consistent, but technical study gets priority because it carries 100 marks in Paper-I and all 300 marks in Paper-II.

6. Paper-II after Paper-I

Immediately after Paper-I, stop spending serious time on GA/Reasoning. Shift the bulk of remaining preparation to Civil: two-hour technical papers, numerical speed, RCC/Steel/Soil/Survey/Fluid/Transportation problem sets, and repeated PYQ revision. Continue all four tracker checkpoints until each high-priority topic reaches mastery.
